Dream Ultimate

A tangled web
of brilliant lies,
those insidious
white lines that allow us
to keep our swagger
and artfully dodge the
dull daggers of discontent


all have walked
this road before
breathed in its dust,
kicked the stones
and in the end have found
the journey isn't what it seemed


but just some
gloriously forgiving dream
always kind enough
to give us one more chance.
