I'm a Columbus, Ohio native and I've been writing professionally for the past fifteen years.  I've written for a variety of publications, have four books published (for sale on my website http://www.ericvancewalton.com/page2.html) and maintain a blog here on Gaia.

I walked a dangerous path in my youth but eventually found “my way” thanks to a strong support system of family, teachers and friends.  I was led to meditation and yoga in the early nineties after a bout with depression.  I joined the Self Realization Fellowship as a kriyaban member in 1998 and have been practicing meditation and yoga faithfully ever since. I can honestly say that my life has been transformed.

My newest venture is an online teashop - http://www.theperfectpause.com/ .  Through the business, we hope to serve the community by educating people about the great benefits of adding tea to their daily lives as well as giving a percentage of our proceeds to specific charities.
